There is an insistent and loud media campaing in Israel, with the main motto being:

Shower two minutes less!

The background is a a fresh face being dried out to a horrible old woman's face. Then it is announced that two minutes of showering less saves 40 liters, which will solve Israel's water scarcity.

If this is all what the Reshut HaMaim, the Water Authority, is able to produce and offer and advice to the public, we are fried.

Shower two minutes less and save the Earth! Let me add, please, use more deodorants, pretty please. We are in August, it is very hot here.

The Water Authority is the last refuge of the old Socialist pakidim (bureaucrats, although the correct literal translation is "the giver of orders"), establishing water allocation quotas with a total lack of imagination. The Water Authority in Israel is the last sanctuary of the Socialist Central Planners that ruled the country in the early fifties and sixties of the last century. All that they can offer is to spend two minutes less under the shower! and that will solve Israel's water problems.
