American and European bloggers are overly worried about the sudden diversity of their societies. About 30% of Amsterdam's population is non native Dutch. 8% of the population of Sweden is ethnically non-Swedish. Los Angeles, Calif. has enormous barrios peopled by Mexican nationals. What will be the end?
I think the end will be something like Brazil. Brazil was peopled by a small minority of Portuguese, with bunches of Dutch, Sepharadi, Italian and other patriarchs. We always considered Brazil to be an African country, we in Argentina used to call them "monos" because the average Brasilian was black. But something happened. You walk in any place in Brazil and the people is mostly like South Europeans, like Portuguese. The "whites" have been "mejorando la raza", improving the race, as was clearly said. In my times, when people saw a black man with a white woman, they commented shamelessly that "that girls deserves a man of better race". It would not go so far as in America, where the black man became a candidate for a moonlight visit by the KKK. In Latin America the girl would be criticized, and also the man if the critics were in a barra. As a theory, I would propose that there was an accelerated process of selective reproduction in Brazil, and white men have been over-reproducing their quota by much each generation. Well, Brazil is a tropical country... pais tropical... The pic shows the Carnaval, when things do happen, but not randomly. I lived as a young man in those places and I witness that "las negritas", "las morochas", etc. were seen as a hot gift of Nature, specially for the university student class. We were aware that Latin America was paradise on Earth, so green, so fecundo, so rich. Well, that was "feudal" Latin America of the fifties that I knew. The same process has been going on in Mexico for generations. I daresay that it is going on in America too, in the underground, in silence, and in one or two generation we will have a large mixed - nominally white - proletariat, and the ethnic problem will disappear in America. If about one third of the African Americans males of reproducing age are in jail or disabled by diseases and drugs, what are the corresponding one third of African American females supposed to do? Natural selection, if anything, has only accelerated lately. Latest genetic population studies are showing that all over Latin America the Y chromosome is European while non-nuclear genes are Indian or African. Somebody should make a study what REALLY is going on and if it is also going on in America.

Sorry - this is just not what is going on in the US - there is relatively racial mixing - certain white women are attracted to the macho nature (and supposed natural endowments) of black men, producing a few mixed race babies like Barack Obama. Black men find plenty of time to impregnate black females in between jail stays - they are not expected to stay and take care of the children - the majority of black children are born to single mothers. It is a point of pride among ghetto black males to father many children to many different women. White men in America, to be honest, do not find most black girls to be attractive except for the most pale skinned - they are not like the bikini clad negritas of Rio, they are for the most part obese, poorly educated, foul mouthed and completely unattractive to white men, with rare exceptions. Despite the idea that in the days of slavery the masters could not wait to copulate with their slaves, in fact this was frowned upon by society and it is estimated that after 15 generations as I minority in America, most American blacks have only about 25% white genes (and most whites have less than 1% African blood) - compare this to American Jews who will have 25% Christian genes in only 1 generation (and in 15 generations will be extinct). Approximately 1/4 of 1% of white men marry black women - there are only 117,000 such marriages in the US out of more than 50million married white men. Asian women are considered much more desirable - there are 530,000 Asian wives despite the fact that Asians are a much smaller % of the US population than blacks. There is surprisingly little social mixing - blacks mostly live in ghettos with their own people and even in settings such as universities where the races are mixed in class, outside of class the different races generally socialize with their own race - they listen to different music, wear different style clothes, etc. Social mixing between Jews and non-Jews, on the other hand, is effortless. In short, while the Jews of America (other than the Orthodox) are in great danger of disappearing, there is no chance of American all becoming mulattos any more than I expect the Jews of Israel to intermarry with the Arabs (I know such romances happen now and then but not enough to change the national demographics).
I know that I have a distorted view of Israel shaped by press coverage and my increasingly ancient memories of the place ( I have not visited for 30 years), and an even more vague idea of how Argentinian and Brasilian society operates, so I can understand how easy it is to be wrong in the other direction - even for an Ungarishe chochem, cross cultural understanding is difficult. Race has always been a special topic in America and the emergence of supposed "post racial" figures such as Obama is a fantasy - America is not yet ready to be a post-racial or non-racial society, not now and I'm guessing not 50 years from now either.

With all respect, you form your opinions on the basis of what is written in the papers, etc. and you would be much surprised about what really goes on in the field. Reproductive activity, so we are built, is a clandestine activity. Do you know that about 15% of the fathers are WRONG about the genetic identity of their children? In certain populations the percentage is 30%. This means that a lot of underground sex is going on everywhere. And African females, known as very active and promiscous, give birth to children whose paternity is unaknowledged. We are talking about populations that are no middle class Protestant or Jews. I am sure the separation is less strict than you seem to believe. Ii may be also reasonable to presume that African men are less successful in impregnating women than you believe, because they tend to be less successful and effective in general. That in average, because there are numerous salient exceptions, Mr Barak Obama Senior being one of them.
I stand by my comments - interracial sex in America is not unknown, but neither it is so common as to threaten the distinctiveness of the races. There is also the fact that people will continue to self identify as "black" even at such point as when they are 3/4 or more white. There is no separate identity in America for persons of mixed race (mestizos or colored) as there are in some countries - you are either "black" or "white". If their mother is black and father white, they will identify as black because they grow up in the black community, and if vice versa, they will STILL identify as black, so long as there is any sign of blackness in their appearance - this is especially humorous because the lighter skinned blacks tend to have higher intelligence and are often the leaders of the community. There is also the whole insecurity element we see going on with Obama - the more white ancestors and the paler you are, the more vigorously and radically you have to proclaim your "blackness" because you have something to prove. However, at some point, you may have so little black blood that your eyes are blue and hair blond, at which point you "cross the color line" and become "white". This is what happened to some of Jefferson's slave children - his slave concubine was already 3/4 European, the children 7/8 European, so the children moved north and became "white" - since that time their descendants have married only whites so today they are "white" again and all visible signs of their black ancestor have disappeared from their appearance.
In most normal societies, the ability to provide is the criteria for male reproductive success. But the American welfare system separated the provision of food and shelter from the sexual element of mating. As you allude to, women were always tempted to marry a good provider but have sex with the men who were most sexually attractive. Now, they are "married" to the state and don't have to "cheat" - the can have sex with whomever they like, and in most (but not all) cases black women prefer black men.
Do you have some genetic study to prove your point? If anything, black girls prefer mulatto boys over more African looking fellows. But they had no prejudice against whites. At least, that was my impression far away and a long ago, and believe me, there was time when I took a keen interest in these things. As they say, you can see a lot just by observing, and there is no substitute for personal experience.
As I mentioned before, there have been studies shown that the average American black has approximately 25% white genes - this after 300 years or more of being present in a 80% or more white society. However, conditions against racial mixing (which was literally a crime in some US states until around 40 years ago) have changed so I'm sure that the rate will increase somewhat but not as much as you imagine. As I said before, if you visit any school or other social setting you will see that there are invisible lines that keep the races apart socially - the classrooms are integrated but the tables in the cafeteria (where people sort themselves) are not. I do have my eyes open and I am here on the ground in America and I am telling you honestly what I am seeing.
And as the Jews have shown (Jews had an admixture rate of under 1% per generation, but this really added up over 100 generations of galut) it is possible to be genetically mixed, even predominantly the genes of the local group and yet retain your separate cultural identity.
As an American of the generation that's making babies at the moment, I have to disagree with you, J. If I understand correctly, in the Latin America of your youth, blacks were generally seen as inferior, so lots of white men slept with black women (because men don't really care), but the reverse was less common, because women are choosy. That's really not what happens in America right now. Most white women truly do not perceive black males as inferior in any way, and white women with black men is far more common than black women with white men.
America is also more geographically segregated than it might appear. A large percentage of white Americans are unlikely to meet even a single black suitor, and the reverse is also true. Also, I'll corroborate what anonymous said--a ridiculous percentage of American black women are obese.
Check out rates of AIDS and other STDs among black and white Americans. AIDS is almost unheard of among heterosexual whites--which is both a disincentive to sleep with blacks, and also evidence that there is in fact minimal covert impregnation of black women by white men.
Lighter-skinned blacks may well be out-breeding the darker-skinned ones...I wouldn't know. But I can promise you that the generation being born over the next, say, 20 years, will be about the same color as their parents. For now, immigration is having a far bigger impact on demographics than intermarriage, and is in fact making America darker rather than lighter. Looking more than 20 years out, though...I have no idea. Things have been changing pretty quickly.
The "whitening" of a mixed mulatto population - and American black population is in average a quarter European - can take place without actual participation of the European population itself. It can happen as consequence of black (in fact, mulatto) women giving preference to lighter skinned black males. This preference is real and strong.
On the other hand, Americans are a puritan, a tight up people, but the sex urge is stronger and in the margins there is always much mixing. We are not talking about a mass phenomenon, but restricted to the 15 - 25 years age group.
Anyway, since genetics is around, a lot of surprises discoveries have been made. I feel strongly that a genetic research would validate my hypothesis. Of course, the results of family genetical studies are frequently withhold from the families involved, or explained away, in order to avoid divorces and other troubles. Similarly, the results of a population genetics study of the kind I am proposing would be difficult to digest for the people involved. In that sense, from the viewpoint of social peace, it is better left undone.

BTW, Israel has "imported" about 150,000 Ethiopian Falashas (whose ancestors converted to Judaism a long time ago) and we definitely have an ethnically diverse population. That is the very opposite what many people on the blogs you mentions fantasize about. Prof. Kevin MacDonald's books describe a world that does not exist and possibly never existed. You are invited to visit Israel and receive the shock of your life when you see the color of the people in the street. Things are complicated and I am too old to change anything.
