I see trouble on the way

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

All right! Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we're in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Credence Clearwater Revival, by Fogerty.

Is this a premonition of war? A world flu pandemic? A prolonged recession? All 3? And were these words plagiarised from the Quatrains of Nostradamus?

It is a popular song from the early seventies. Credence Clearwater Revival. People seems to like the message: The End is Near. Many want the end to come.

Most popular songs are not about sex, but religion.

The like the message because, if the end is near, they no longer have to control themselves.
