Haley Koch NOT Cavorting with the Natives

Dennis Mangan's blog called my attention to Ms Haley Koch (pic - censured), an American leftist student leader. Mangan is my favorite blogger, a fine American gentleman, a reactionary cormudgeon (his words). He writes:
Sometimes there is justice in the world: Haley Koch, the student who led the forces that prevented Tom Tancredo from speaking at UNC, may lose her scholarship - it's a full ride too, which the linked article says is worth a total of around $140,000. With some luck the little fascist will be expelled from the university too. Her background isn't too surprising: she comes from a leftist family: Koch is a product of Sidwell Friends, the Quaker school attended by President Barack Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia and former presidential daughter Chelsea Clinton. Koch, of Cabin John, Md., was among 43 freshmen who received the Morehead scholarship in 2005.
I hope Dennis Mangan is not becoming a humorless cascarrabias who hates young people having fun. I for one am for young people raising hell in the university and yes, cavorting with the natives. I certainly did, drunk barrels of palm wine and ate "grass cutter" (aka jungle rat), and OK, lets forget the rest. I hope that Mangan also had some fun while as a young man he was doing social work in Africa.

Follow Up: Having been forced to check Haley's own site with her photos in Africa, it is clear to me that she was NOT cavorting with the natives. She was more interested in cheetahs. She was with a group of friends and a boyfriend, all very middle class Protestant, square, burgeois, prude, clean, not even a kiss with the boyfriend. As one commenter said: In this generation, "queer sex courses" are apparently mainstream and conventional. Only ancient fools like myself are shocked and imagine bad things.

Perhaps my madcap sense of humor doesn't shine through my blogging.

Sorry, I guess I'm in too serious a mood today. That picture just makes me think of all the times that young white women cavorting with "the natives" has led to the rape and/or murder of the former.

Amy Biehl

I kind of get sick thinking about it. I hope Miss Koch learns about this kind of thing the easy way.

The people who are really stupid are those that let her do it.

I remember the Amy Biehl story very well. The lessons were not learned, at least not by everybody.

Anon.

This summer she is planning to do field study of European weird sex. While earning her university degree. On a 140,000 dollar scholarship. I fear not for her, as she seems quite able to take of herself.

I hope you're right, J. She reminds me of a bunch of pretty women I knew in college who studied leftist fields and were always 100% cheerful until they thought someone was "being racist". More than one of them ended up broken, traumatized, etc., after letting herself alone with the usual variety of Africans, Central Americans, Asians, etc. who were are told never, ever to mistrust.

None were ever killed though, thankfully.

Hey,

Thanks for sharing this link - but unfortunately it seems to be down? Does anybody here at h2oreuse.blogspot.com have a mirror or another source?

Cheers,
