"I have no real authority. We hold meetings, I'm brought a cup of coffee, everything is all very nice, and that's it," said Minister of National Infrastructures Uzi Landau yesterday in response to a question of what was preventing him from intervening more effectively in the water market. He made the comment to the state investigative committee on the management of the water economy.
Dr. Uzi Landau is the Minister of Infrastructures of Israel, personally in charge of the Water Authority. His political outlook is Eretz Israel, the Land of Israel, that is, he is right. He has been fighting for a very long time in the right wing of the Israeli political jungle, yet he seems yet to be unaware that he has reached a very important position. He seems to have no idea that the POWER is now in his hands, nor how to make any use of it. He urgently needs an experienced water sector adviser like me. He doesnt know yet that he needs me. Somebody tell him please. Hurry!
