The rumor says that INTEL is negotiating a new fab near the existing one in Kyriat Gat. The investment is estimated at 2.5 billion, about half consisting in a Government of Israel grant. It will start exporting in 2012. I have designed the infrastructure of a large supermarket in the Kyriat Gat industrial area, a few blocks from the very large Intel factory. The supermarket people are lucky or knew in advance that the place is going to boom? I should have asked for more money.

New Intel Fab in Kyriat Gat
