Shiker (Drunk) Jews in Jerusalem
It seems I am a sensitive weathercock, as my reaction to Obama's speech in Cairo was violently negative. Then came Prof. Alan Derschowitz from Harvard, who was the first to publicly condemn Obama. The activist elite of younger American Jewry is also having the same violent reaction, as shown in this reportage of drunk young Jews in a Jerusalem bar. If the antisemite Kevin MacDonald is right and it is Jews who dominate America's public discourse, then Obama made a bad mistake. There is a large mass of working class Whites seething on the sides, they are stand-by "revolutionary material" waiting to be mobilized by courageous leaders. I am impressed by the total lack of fear of these young Jews. We were more circumspect.

Obama will tell people whatever they want to hear to make them happy.
Don't worry, be happy.
Anon.
Yes, that was my impression too.
But we are not happy when he goes down on the King of Saudi Arabia (Was the pic published in the USA? He will yet have to pay for that gesture...)
It was, and people were NOT happy.
So the education of Obama will be the realization that you can't make everybody happy at the same time.
Anon.
Genuflexion to kings is so unAmerican! According to current Catholic Lithurgy "A genuflection, made by bending the right knee signifies adoration, and therefore it is reserved for the Most Blessed Sacrament". Well, he is not a Catholic, not is the King of Saudia.
Mátyás Rosenfeld, Karol Sobelsohn, Grigorii Apfelbaum,Tibor Szamuely - the most circumspect of fellows.
What about Bela Kun? What about Gero?
Of course. I needed one or two for you to look up.
I don't see anything wrong with these kids. I grew up around guys like them. I still know many of them and plenty might fall into your "not Jewish" categories. They are, however, descended from the Russian yidn and the like, not noble Hungarian ones. I don't say that mockingly. I agree with you.
Let me disagree with you (and myself?). Ashkenazi Jews are a very homogeneous group and here are no serious differences between Russians and Hungarians or Germans. We are all noble, all descended from King David. Well, most of us.
These guys are all Jews according my criteria. Drunk Jews.
Who are the Separdim descended from?
Salut!

I guess,Allah only knows :)
They're simply Jews who were expelled from Spain and Portugal during the inquisition. Same lineage before that, with this fork in history.
"Same lineage before that, with this fork in history."
Not according to J. Not according to the Israelis I lived around. My kids can look at them and tell the difference.
Seek another narrative.
I suspect the Ashkenazim have more in the way of north European genes.
Anon.
Sepharadim are Jews from Sepharad, a Biblical kingdom that no one knows where it is so it was attached to the Iberian Peninsula.
How is that there were so many Jews in Iberia? Till the genetic scientists untangle that issue, my hypothesis is that they are descendants of Cartaginians, who were Canaanites, that is, Israelites. Cartaginians spoke Hebrew and were ruled by "shoftim" exactly as the Jews of that time were. I think Phoenicians did not disappear but some survive as Jews. In the 20th Century Ashkenazi Jews became so numerous that all non-Ashkenazi Jews were thrown together under the classification of Sepharadim, even if they looked Chinese and lived Kaifeng.
It's funny how many of the guys from ש״ס think you Ashkenazim are the ones who are some type of goy, interlopers as it were. They really go on about the blue eyes.
You have to work on your Yiddish -
Sicher means "sure" or "secure".
Shiker means drunk.
Noted and corrected.
