Reflection (I should be working!).
What we are experiencing is no recession. This is a re-structuring of world economy. There will be no "after-the-recession". We are not going back where we were before.
I think this will be a very good world for us. The 21st Century may be the Israeli Century.

The Hebrew text is a phrase of the Israeli anthem that says "We have not lost our hope of 2,000 years of living on our land as a free nation". In a word, we too have dreams.

Most well managed economies should do OK. Israelis may not have air conditioning, but if your descriptions of Israel apply to the whole country then the common hebe should still have a job and a roof over his head.
Others may not be so lucky.
