Khrushchev is also notable for leading the collectivization in Ukraine, that resulted in a manmade famine and mass starvation (pic: 1936 Khrushchev and Stalin). The antisemites say that Jews were specially active in this campaign. I bet they were! Only ten years before hundreds of pogroms were carried out by Ukrainian nationalists and the number of Jews killed is estimated to be between 35 and 50 thousand. Archives declassified after 1991 provide evidence of a higher number; in the period from 1918 to 1921, "according to incomplete data, at least 100,000 Jews were killed in Ukraine in the pogroms."
Some revisionist wrote in the comments that we Jews purposefully caused the starvation and massive death of the Ukrainian people. The events happened a hundred years ago and I have no direct information. But Ukrainian peasant's mass starvation came only ten years after the pogroms that killed about 10% of the Ukrainian Jewry. Was there some cause-effect relationship? I dont know, but if I was an antisemite planning pogroms on Jews, I would think it twice and think it thrice. As they say, לא אלמן ישראל - The Jewish People is Not Helpless.

There is debate if Holodomor was intentional.
Some research suggest famine was result of Soviet incompatence/stupidity rather than premeditation.

Most probably the mass starvation was a result of ideology and lack of experience (no one before had embarked in such a bold collectivization program). But some idiot neo-Nazis are saying that it was an ethnic cleansing committed by Jews. Personally I have no idea of the whole hting, a few years ago I did not even know that it had been so bad. I didnt know about the pogroms neither. But if the Nazis want to link the thinks, well, too bad for them. If they think we Jews are so powerful that we can kill millions like that, better for us. Flavius Josephus wrote The Jewish Wars in which he had personally participated and which was read by his Roman and Jewish contemporaries who had first hand knowledge of what happened, so he could not stray too much from what was known to everybody. He had to tell the truth, making it acceptable to his Roman patrons, as well as showing himself (a traitor) in a good light.
On the other hand, this Secret Engineer commented on events that happened in the Soviet Union a century ago, in which he did not participate directly or indirectly. He has no pretensions of anything. His first source of Ukraine in the twenties-thirties was Arthur Koestler's Autobiography, Arrow in the Blue, who travelled extensively in those place at that time. Although Koestler was an exceptionally intelligent person, he failed to understand the mass starvation he was seeing around. Many other American and European travellers and journalist returned with good reports on the Soviet Union. In fact, like the Swine Fever Epidemy we are having here in Israel just now, people can be unaware of mass starvation around them. The tramways on the street continue travelling, the classes in the university continue as always. I presume that the report of the Secret Engineer on Ukraine Hodomor would be similar to Arthur Koestler's story.
If I can comment on your comment, you have a problem with rigorous logic. You are intelligent but lazy to force yourself to think. You compare batatas with bananas. You think in syllogisms. You need a strict teacher of logic and philosophy, preferably a German pedant who will teach you think.
The revered Josephus and the Secret Engineer are, as the Secret Engineer himself often laboriously points out, a particular type, though enmeshed in different historical situations. If the Secret Engineer found himself in Titus' Rome, which was a troubling time for Jews, it is my assertion that he would write in a similar manner as Josephus himself wrote, and vice-versa. The same phenotype - again, applying the term to the cultural realm - only varies due to environmental circumstances. I had thought this was the Secret Engineer's belief as well.
It was not my desire to draw a direct comparison between the two, though the Secret Engineer's dismay over tzadikim and (updated) brigandage on the part of some of his fellow countrymen is equally shared by Josephus, as evidenced by his attacks on the leistai and such, and the Secret Engineer - urbane, cultured, multi-lingual, and educated - comes from the cream of the crop of European Jewry, the modern equivalent of yesteryear's Sadducees. I would think that being able to read Kant, whom I find both insightful (per our back and forth above, see what he has to say about logic of the Aristotelian variety) and extremely boring, is actually a barrier to entering the "blogosphere". Most people of this type shy from expositing ideas/thoughts in rapid one or two paragraph bursts. Have you seen the dreadful intellectual quality of most "blogs"? Outside of the various technical fields, yours and a few others are the only I find palatable.
Leistai are imagined by moderns who try to more fully flesh out Josephus' various writings as different things. Some see them as violent people who've been disposed of by society, others as men with an ideology of one sort or another, others as romantic Robin Hood types. I am in the second camp, which I guess puts me in at least partial agreement with you.
What are your thoughts on Dudu? Personally I don't care for entertainers, but he seems to me to be the show business eqivalent of the downsized American worker here - technology and other forces have made him obsolete.

Many have wondered…was this targeting of the well-off Ukrainian kulaks deliberate by the Jew-dominated Soviet government so that Soviet Jews could subsequently swoop in and take over Ukraine’s economy as well as its amazingly productive agricultural lands? Feldman believes there is a danger that the “Holodomor Affair” materials are being used for political purposes.
In late May, security service head Valentin Nalivaychenko claimed at a meeting with representatives of the World Congress of Ukrainians that “Ukraine has collected enough evidence to bring a criminal case regarding the famine, which was artificially created by the Bolshevik regime and caused mass death of citizens.”
Through the World Congress of Ukrainians, Nalivaychenko turned to leading foreign lawyers with a request to help find out the circumstances connected with preparing and committing the genocide.

Again, is this incredible domination of Ukraine’s economy by a tiny minority of ethnic Jews a mere coincidence, or is it something more? The Jews of Ukraine would seem to represent a rootless cosmopolitan “hostile elite” if there ever was one.

Also, I have a bad feeling that a similar process of “de-kulakization” like that which occurred in 1930s Ukraine is currently afoot in the severely Jew-wrecked modern USA. No, it's not a mystery.
The third Reich ends up being protrayed as a noble stand against the tide of History sweeping against Whites, a stand against communism, and simply a larger cause for many rootless people to submerge themselves in.
As part of this narrative both the US and the Soviet Union are depicted as being Jewish controlled, working to destroy an Aryan state such as Germany. Since WW2 we have seen soft-communism (think Jimmy Carter) spread in the West, mutate into feminism and environmentalism and turn into a cancer. Many high level thinkers recognize these destructive "isms" as children of communism, and then blame the Jews for what ails modern society, often without mentioning the other factors tearing apart the West.
WW2 was the formative event of the modern era, and in it three visions of a future world order were presented, although others may have been possible. The first vision was Communism, which no one takes seriously anymore. The other two visions were of an American dominated order and the racial vision of the third Reich. Everytime the West, under the leadership of its corrupt America elites, stumbles or simply fails to provide an animating vision of the future the only other competitor rises from the grave.
No other competing vision has been presented in the last 70 years - none. Most people are content with the current order, but those who hate it seem to present the TR as a lost paradise that could have been if the US had simply not gotten involved, projecting America's current decadence backwards in time. Or to put it another way, the West would not be declining if the US had not crushed the TR.
The behavior of America's Jews only adds fuel to the fire.
