Visualizing The Evacuation of American Jewry

As a Zionist, I want that American Jews make aliyah and move to Israel. I dont care about the generous help they are giving to us, I think we can survive quite well without AIPAC, and personally I have doubts about the usefulness of the AntiDefamation organization. I think Jews should not live in the Diaspora, it is bad for them, they should liquidate their wonderful businesses and start developing their own country for ourself and our posterity.

I feel that Armerican Jewry at its margins starts to feel uncomfortable in America and is open to the idea of moving to Israel. I am thinking, first of all, public servants and education workers who see their advancement blocked by all kind of Affirmative ACtion people and all kind of ferociously competitive Asians. The environment is not antisemitic, onthe contrary, but the social group where Jews belong is being demoted and deranked. A man who loses his job or a man who loses a promotion is mentally receptive to the idea of coming to his own country where he is the owner and cannot be discriminated against.

The evacuationof American Jewry will take place following well known social movement laws. First the innovators, then the followers, then the indifferent mass, and then the latecomers. The innovators are already learning Hebrew and buying homes in Israel. When these movement reaches its "tipping point" and becomes an avalanche, that is the thing I want to calculate. In ten years, I think, some 150,000 American Jews may be living in Israel. Most will hold his American passport for ever, vote in American elections, and have one leg here and one leg there. Their children, however, will be Israelis.

I have to work out the details of this vision before it can be made true. It is possible, of course, it is probable, Zionism has done larger impossibles before.

Is there any evidence that this has started?

I agree that if all Jews did this, Israel would soon be among the most powerful countries on earth and could deal with her neighbors as she wished, without restraint.

I have no solid, quantitative information on the subject. It is difficult to identify the trend in its very beginning. And it can easily abort. I think that the article "Road Rage: Ode to Madness for Politically Incorrect Russian-Jewish Choir", by Lev Lakritz that I commented a few days ago means something. Its first sentence was:
"We are back where we started, getting used to the idea of hitting the road again." It is always the poets and the writers that feel the breeze blowing from the future.

I can conceive of one tipping point occurring, when the infrastructure of Conservative Jewry begins to disappear. Conservative Jewry has been bleeding members in both directions for decades: toward assimilation and intermarriage on the one hand, and toward Orthodoxy and Aliyah on the other. If these trends continue or even accelerate (which strikes me as entirely possible), then at some point the synagogues, schools, JCC's and delicatessens will start to close down. Eventually, it may well be impossible to live as a Jew in a Jewish community in America, without being Orthodox. At that point, you might see a sizable exodus to Israel.

I don't see any tipping point occurring for economic or social reasons. It's still way too easy to make money in America.

Dennis,

Regarding how to treat our neighbors, like in everything else, we always follow the lead of the United States. One million American immigrants (that will surely include about 40% ethnic Christian Americans, wifes, husbands, mothers-in-law, messianic Christians who think they are true Jews, American boys who just want to volunteer to some elite suicide Army unit, etc.) will make us much like you. I wonder if the Palestinians will love their new neighbors. For example, that ice cube in your whisky is water from the Colorado River, that for some reason never reached Baja California. If many Americans come to Israel, we will have to take more water from the Jordan River to make those extra ice cubes.

Anonymous,

Britain may be used as an indicator of social trends in the Anglosaxon world. The Jewish community is dissolving, weakening with each generation. There is no emigration from Britain.

The difference is Affirmative Action. Also in Russia Jews had a good life and the State actively persecuted antisemitism. Yet there were a few times in a Jew's life when he felt the weight of his Judaism. When he applied to the university near his home in Kiev or Moscow, he was almost sure to be rejected. Young Jews had to travel to Siberia to get a degree.
Second, when he applied for a "sensitive" job, which may be research in physics or the nuclear industry or the military. His ethnic background was investigated, his family's relations to Israel were registered, and it was un uncomfortable experience. Third when he had to be promoted: his ethnic origin was a problem. In the seventies, when only Jews were allowed to emigrate, being so privileged was also a problem for those intending to stay. I repeat, no Jew was economically disadvantaged and there was no official antisemitism. Yet those small moment were enough to cause the mass evacuation of the 200 years old Russian Jewry.

Now, if I am not wrong, young American Jews are having some problems to get into the universities they want and have to study in second rank institutions. Jews in the civil service are being investigated and listed since the Pollard and other spying affairs. And so on.

America still is the Goldene Medina and the world's richest country. But it has been taken over by the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, and from the outside, it appears that they are starting to make a difference.

There is one reason why this should not happen: you do not want all your eggs in one basket.

If the unthinkable should happen, a bomb or wmd of some sort deployed against you, and you are all in Israel, then it is game over.

That is why you should preserve some element of geographic dispersion; it will then be impossible to target all of you at once.

If history is anything to go by, the Diaspora is MUCH more dangerous to Jews than Israel.

The difference between the Diaspora and Israel is that here we are organized and take a very active part in world politics and we have an army, a mosad, etc. to defend ourselves.

If you are talking about genes, in the last 3000 years our genes have wandered to every people on Earth. Some say that 20% of the Spanish blood is Jewish. I am sure many HUngarians and Polish people carry Jewish blood. If to go by TS gene, there are is a larger number of TS genes in the Polish people than in the Jews. And viceversa, too, the gene flow went on both directions.

So if it is not a genetic issue, it is an issue of self respect, of dignity.

Bottom Line: Being a hated minority is bad to one's soul.

I think you are over-reacting to something, probably MacDonald. You are not always a "hated minority".

Furthermore, I think you might find not all American Jews are cut out for life in the Middle East, nor will they all be good for your security.

I was invited to lecture in Israel a while back, and someone in the audience, thanking me for coming, said that some (and, frankly, probably more qualified) Jews had been invited but declined ("our so-called friends" was the phrase he had used); perhaps they knew something that I didn't.

Anyway, you will probably breed up to Israel's carrying capacity within a few decades.

There is , in my experience, a type of Jew who only feels at home when he is not at home; thus there will always be a diaspora.

Carrying capacity is a not a concept that can be appicable here. We used to learn in ARgentina that 1 hectare of pasture in the Pampa Humeda could carry one Animal Unit, which was a 400 kg heifer. What is the carrying capacity of a modern feed lot? Or a 10 stories hermetically sealed poultry farm? What is the surface required for a SanDisk factory? or for Amdocs software outfit? I have a copy of the White Paper produced by a British Commision seventy years ago: the land was overpopulated already, when Eretz Israel had less than 2 million people (now has about 15 million). One hundred million could easily be accommodated in this strech of land.

Emigration is always very difficult. Specially for people who live from their language, like writers, screenwriters, teachers, etc. A 40 years old person should never abandon his culture. Most adult Russians will feel uneasy in Israeli culture all their lives, but their children are already foreigners in Russia. It takes a generation to change the culture of a people.

Antisemitism is the less of the problems. It is social change. People, includign Jews, are losing their jobs and their diplomas are losing their worth. Painful change is inevitable, and I am betting that some American Jews will change to Israel. American Jews are suffering from America's deindustrialization no less than other Americans, and from the socialization of its health care, education, etc. State ownership and management opens fantastic opportunities for politically connected people like Michelle Obama, but not for your average Scott Cohen.

No. The US was taken over by the Democratic Party in 1933. Back in the 30's through to around 1964 the South was (idiotically) Democratic and was the only restraining force on the Democrats during those years.

The groundwork for state control of medicine and other areas was laid in the 1930's and that was a goal of the Dems even then. Negro equality was also a goal back then as well.

Since that time the Dems have pursued a policy of relentless incrementalism in achieving their policies and now the Federal government is the source of 50% of all of the money in our health care system. The other way of achieving state control is to overregulate and sabotage private medical care.

As a practical matter there are no "progressive" Democrats, only honest ones.

If the American Jews move to Israel en masse then they will still be able to make a living considering the prominence of English, but it will be somewhat harder.

They will still be able to make films though. I'm sure Israel could stand in for southern California.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

We White Americans don't want you parasitic Jews in our country anymore - we want you to leave and go live in your own country. You can consider us Zionists, too.

As the Germans used to say: "Juden aus!"

Yeah, that's true. You Jews have never had any problems whatsoever living like overcrowded sewer rats.

Well, you may be unfamiliar with Jewish quarters. They are generally the most expensive and nicest everywhere. Israeli architecture is one of the best in the world. I would say in like the Japanese. Even medieval ghettoes were in fact quite attractive, like Venice's Jewish quarter. Frankfurt's Jewish Street was built up nicely, but later became overcrowded and overbuilt.

"The End of Jewish Migration"

by Dr. Johann von Leers

The Jewish problem is a migrating problem that has moved over the centuries from one European region to another. One can speak of a certain degree of saturation with the Jewish population in individual regions. If this degree of saturation is reached or exceeded, the affected non-Jewish peoples always take the same defensive measures. They attempt to reduce Jewish influence, to hinder Jewish corruption of their cultural and business life, or to reverse it if it has already occurred. Often, the first step is a clear realization that the Jews are a foreign element. Those countries not simultaneously affected by the problem tend to misunderstand these defensive measures, and as far as it is in their political interests, or to the extent that they are under Jewish influence, speak of "barbarism." When the emigrating Jewish masses show up by them, the whole course of events often repeats itself. Similar defensive measures appear in the second country, while in the first country the fighting spirit against the Jews has calmed down — and thus the misunderstandings continue.

No one who understands the situation will be able to deny that the cause of these defensive measures lies primarily in the Jewish people itself. Even with the greatest degree of impartiality, one will conclude that one is dealing with a group of people that is on average highly unpleasant. That may not stop one from looking at the question clearly.

The Jew Dr. Kurt Münzer wrote in his novel Der Weg nach Zion:

"We have corrupted the blood of all the races of Europe — perhaps we have infected them. Today, everything is Jewdified. Our thinking is in everything living, our spirit rules the world. We are the masters, for everything that has power today is the child of our spirit. One may hate us, one may drive us away. Our enemies may triumph over our physical weakness. But we are no longer to be gotten rid of. We have devoured the peoples, conquered the races, defiled them, broken their strength, made everything rotten, lazy, and corrupt with our stale culture."

You feel we have made you lazy and corrupt?

Who is that Jew who is stopping you from starting to work and become uncorrupt? Let me talk to the bastard.
