Reading about Angola I arrived to Botha's speech before South African parliament on 17 April, 1978, in which he charged the US with "defaulting on a promise to give them all necessary support in their campaign to defeat the MPLA”: “Against which neighbouring states have we taken aggressive steps? I know of only one occasion in recent years, when we crossed a border and that was in the case of Angola when we did so with the approval and knowledge of the Americans (J: It was against the Cuban intervention). But they left us in the lurch. We are going to retell that story: the story must be told and how we, with their knowledge, went in there and operated in Angola with their knowledge, how they encouraged us to act and, when we had nearly reached the climax, we were ruthlessly left in the lurch”.

Hope We'll never need the Americans

This is why Israel has its indigenously built nukes, along with those of Apartheid South Africa.
I am impressed with the depth of your research.
You should investigate the case of one Gerald Bull PhD, his involvement with the South Africa/Angola situation, the sale of certain artillery to the SA Army, and his experience with the USA; his disillusionment, and subsequent involvement with Saddam, and his final demise at the hands of the Mossad (as was rumoured). It is very much a la mode, and may interest you greatly (as a world citizen,as an Israeli, and as an engineer).

Wiki in Dr Bull: With the change of administration in 1977, the US's policies on arms sales changed dramatically. Combatting communism was no longer the only consideration, and the human rights record of the South African apartheid system became a major concern. Enforcing rules that had always been "on the books", Bull was arrested for illegal arms dealing in violation of the UN arms embargo. Expecting a slap on the wrist, Bull was surprised to find himself spending six months in a US jail in 1980. On his return to Quebec he was sued and fined $55,000 for arms dealing.
And then ....?

So you'll stop sucking at the teet
of the American Tax Slave?
After the fall of the Soviet Union, having disappeared the Communist menace, America changed sides and moved to the left, toward socialism.
Anon.,
Bull's fate was the same as the German weapons experts in Egypt under Nasser.
Under this administration, the USA is rapidly moving towards neo-communism; this is a system in which ordinarily productive people get screwed by the alliance of big business and government; in which the free market is an increasingly remote memory and in which pseudo-elections replace democracy. And above all, in which the Rule of Law becomes confused with the Rule of Lawyers.
All the signs are there; slavery is being re-introduced by precisely the people who speak loudest against it. The next steps are the disarmament of the people and the politicization of schoolchildren.
Welcome to Hell.

As far as I can know, schoolchildren are already studying a revised version of history, with Indians and Africans as main actors and heroes. About disarming the people, I dont think it is important. Small arms are useless against an army.

Yeah, small arms are useless except for a little high-quality snipimg.
You have to start openly rejecting objectionable federal dictates-maybe starting in education- where you live. Then when the US Marshall's Service comes in to impose the Federal will, you make life uncomfortable for them.
Ranging from shunning to civil disobedience to -if necessary-IED's. This kind of thing is initially workable only in tightly-knit and reasonably homogeneous rural communities.
The ´patriot" movement in the US has to get over its fixation with guns and the long dead US Constitution. The regime uses the Commerce Clause and the 14th Amendment to assert its right to exercise unlimited power.
J, the US didn't move to the left after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it has been a leftist country since 1933.
A good example is socialized medicine. The Dems discussed government healthcare back before WW2, and they have been working to implement it incrementally ever since. Right now the feds pay for 40-50% of all healthcare spending, with Obama seeking to raise the amount to 80-100%.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Marshall Plan was used to set up the European state health care monopolies.
The hinge of American history was the FDR administration.
