Mafumeira Field starts delivering oil


Chevron is Angola’s largest foreign oil industry employer. During 2008, the total daily liquids production averaged 534 000 bl. The company employs about 2 900 Angolan nationals, which account for 86% of the total work force. Further, Angolans fill about 73% of Chevron’s local professional and supervisory roles.

It appears that Angola has potential. The Portuguese have been there 500 years and left nothing. Just about 1% of the population is mestizo (mixed blood).

I thought it would be more similar to Brazil.
