Two more books were sold by the Spanish internet book shop. My book, on water reuse, is in Spanish (the illustration is not my book) and I think that only my Latin students are buying it. Anyway, my royalties are adding up (a few hundred Euros...) but writing technical texts is no business.

Is your book in English too?
Did you just corner the market in LA for water management books?
Latin people buys few books, but I try to sell. My book is in Spanish only, as it is based on lectures I gave in Latin America.
Ronduck,
I think you should travel a bit to widen your horizons. There are about 400 million Latin Americans living South of the border, and it is not a cognitive desert as you imply. You can make a weekend trip on car or bus to Mexico and see for yourself. Mexico City is worth visiting.
I've heard that parts of Mexico city can be very nice.
I met a man from Mexico city working at my bank helping the non-English speaking customers. He seemed like a nice guy, and rather intelligent.
I probably should get out more often.
