A few days ago the Chief Sepharadi Rabbi asked the Jews to pray for rain (see note below). Today the country is flooded (see pic). Let each one extract his own conclusion.
Here in the valley the local rivers only have water in them for about a week a year. When the rivers do have water in them the county has to block off the roads that run across the riverbeds so that drivers do not end up getting caught in the water. Despite barriers and common sense some drivers still end up getting caught in the water most years.
In most other states bridges are built to cross riverbeds. Here in the valley county planners decided that paving roads across the riverbeds is cheaper. However, in incorporated areas cities usually build bridges.
There is no geographical separation between different Jewish tribes, in fact also Arabs live in the same towns as Jews (Haifa, for example). Oriental Jews are, in my opinion, more widely religious than European Jews. Ashkenazi Jewry is falling apart, we are an episode in the long history of the Jews, Oriental Jewry is much more cohesive and tribal, soon they will be once more the Jewish majority and mainstream.

Good night.
Did it rain across the entire country, or just in certain areas (especially those inhabited by Sephardim)?
On a related point, are the Sephardic Jews of Israel more religious than the Ashkenazim, or are they about comparable?
The old saying is "be careful what you ask for or you just might get it."
