Falkenblog points out that a new elite has taken over in America, and mentions Peter Orszag. Of course he is another Hungarian Jew, with brilliant academic credentials. Orszag means "country" and it is one of those excessively Hungarian show-off names that assimilated Hungarian Jews adopted. When Jews changed their German names into Hungarian ones, they did not adopt standard Hungarian names like Szabo, Kovacs, Kocsis, Kadar, etc. - they had to have super-Hungarian names like Orszag.
America's new socialist regime has created a larger government and regulatory oppression. Obama is not succeeding: the economy is not recovering, foreign wars are not being won, there are no achievements to show. He has nationalized wide economic sectors, has imposed severe regulatory supervision on Wall Street, the government is growing while the productive sector is contracting.
Here in Israel we are disappointed with his lack of direction regarding the Iranian nuclear project, and worried about America's losing the initiative against the Muslims. The latest airport X-raying small girls is not only immoral but also ineffective. It shows a defeatist mentality, as well as inability to do the obvious thing, which is not look under the skirts of young girls but harshly interrogate all Muslims. It is starting to paint rather bad.

As usual I agree with your analysis of the situation. You didn't mention O's child out of wedlock, born after he had begun dating another woman - a (Russian Jewish?) news reporter. Also the question of whether he wears a wig?
The one thing that socialists never seem to get is that one man, no matter how intelligent, is not as smart as a market which consists of the votings of millions.

Googling Orszag one is struck by the scarcity of sources on his life. All we know is from PR releases. Like Barak Obama, the new elite has carefully and consistently built a public persona and they have left nothing personal (potentially damaging) to escape. In the case of Obama, his prudence reached a point where being editor of a paper, he wrote nothing in it. Regarding having a child out of wedlock, the public is changing, we are not anymore in Kansas. America is changing.
The prudence is wise in this politically correct age. During the campaign, Senator Reid made a completely factual and correct observation in private that Obama was a light skinned black and did not speak in "Negro dialect" unless he wanted to, so he would be acceptable to a wide range of voters. The reporting of these words in a new book has created a firestorm of controversy for him. Of course since he is a Democrat nothing will happen to him - it was explained that Obama knows him to be a man with his heart in the right place so his words can be forgiven (while those of a Republican cannot). When Trent Lott said something nice to Strom Thurmond on the occasion of his 100th birthday (to the effect that he should have been elected president) he was forced to resign due to the terrible "racism" of his remark, which was only intended to flatter a dying old man. So we now have a system of double standards - Democrats can speak the exact same words as Republicans but when Democrats say them the words have a different meaning (and different career consequences) because we "know" they speak with good intentions and Republicans with bad/racist motives.

The things you write, K, remind me of Stalinist Soviet Union, where people lost their jobs because of a joke. Solzhenytsin was condemned to 8 years of gulag because he wrote a letter critisizing the leadership. No one is sent to jail for a joke yet this was not so in the past.
