BATACAZO of the Spanish Stock Exchange

Panic swept the Madrid Stock Exchange today. It ended in a 6% fall. Greece's bankrupcy has already been discounted. Nervous people spoil my natural feeling of content.

Follow Up: It also spoilt Wall Street's mood. Credit Suisse lost 7%.

The speculators are picking off the weaker members of the ERM tail. There is money to be made if only I knew how. I think there is still scope for a depreciation of the USD/ECU. I completely missed the boat at the 1.48 level.

It is not easy to speculate.

When I am right, it is good judgement, and when I am wrong, it is bad luck.
