It has been suggested that Goodluck (married to Patience) is a founding and active member of MEND, the armed organization that is blackmailing oil companies and blocking the country's oil production. In the end, the Ibo are ruling Nigeria and the oil flow. 40 years after the civil war, Nigeria can increase its oil production. The price of oil will go down.

Nigerian Oil starting to Flow

I also think the Nigerians have the highest IQ of all the africans. Many of the Ibo people still want to secede, but this would be a disaster for the other two tribes from an economic perspective. A dissolution of the country along tribal lines would reduce ethnic strife and perhaps they could stabilize to the extent monotribal Botswana has.
Since they have taken over the presidency, and I think for a long time, there is no need of secession. The Ibo united with the Yoruba can make Nigeria an African power. The Ibo have no psychological hangups about colonialism, they have been in contact with Europeans for centuries and are ready to work together.
