A large poultry slaughterhouse called Hel Yaska Ltd. in Or Yehuda was closed by the Ministry of Environment. The place was using 1500 ton salt per year, had no treatment facilities so its untreated wastewaters were flowing into the Ayalon River, the one that crosses Tel Aviv. This place is a competitor of the slaughterhouse I advised (and saved) last year. It is a pity they did not hire me; now I am looking for a contact to offer my services.
According to the sentence (that was published), the slaughterhouse's representative is Dr. Chen Saliternik, whom I know for the least twenty years. The slaughterhouse was required to build a manhole on the main pipe connecting the slaughterhose to the municipal sewage network, but they built it on a lateral line. The idea is to allow the installation of a conductivity registering electrode (to measure salinity) but it is useless. Additionally, they were supposed to submit continuous printouts which they never did. Moreover, they were supposed to submit the sea outfall disposal permit, and they did not even start filling the form.
