A Non-Blog Disliked by Google
Yes, and liberty is an armed lamb contesting the vote.
This was the brilliance of the Constitution written by the Founding Fathers of the US (now the world's oldest written constitution that has remained in continuous effect). They had studied this question carefully and well understood that pure democracy could not work for the reasons evident in the joke, so they set up a system of checks and balances. Obama and his socialist friends are willing to achieve their goals by any means necessary and care nothing that they are undermining our historic institutions. The US health care bill passed with zero votes by the lambs (oops I mean Republicans). Obama's talk of bipartisanship was just cynical window dressing. It is literally unprecedented in American history that a major social reform be enacted on a completely unilateral basis. It is their hope (and they are probably right given past precedent) that once an entitlement program is in place it becomes seen as a "right" by its beneficiaries and can never be taken away, even after power changes hands. Overnight, 30 million more leeches have attached themselves to our national bloodstream on what Obama hopes will be a permanent basis, at a time when the host is already in a weakened state. Obama will hurry his other socialist reforms between now and November because he will likely receive a drubbing at the polls despite the best efforts of the press to cheerlead him and portray his opponents as Neanderthal racists. Lincoln's maxim that you can't fool all of the people all of the time is about to be proven again. Or to put it more crudely, don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining.K
The constitution remained in continuous effect? Really? Is there another constitution I don't know about?
Genius, you are such a genius that I don't even understand your question.K
