The struggle between man and wife (and mother-in-law) is eternal and exists in all cultures. Though perhaps not in Arab culture where you just beat your wife or threaten to divorce her if she disobeys or complains? Probably there too women have ways to exert their power.

Arab women are very strong willed and forceful, and also united. Arab neighborhoods are ruled by an informat coalition of elder women. Arab men are weak, phantasist and lazy. Arabs in general do not beat their women (that is for Russian and Ukrainian drunken mujiks). Moreover, since marriage is a tit-for-tat affair, girls in the family are guarded as the very valuable exchange-goods they are.

I am not a bigot - I am a realist. As we saw on 9/11, viewing the world thru rosy "anti-racist" glasses Obama style can literally get you killed. I don't sound like a typical liberal Jew in person but I admit that in our politically correct society it's not always prudent to say exactly what is on your mind - ask for example, Lawrence Summers who lost his job for merely suggesting that women might have a narrower IQ distribution then men (thus few retarded but fewer geniuses) - something that is entirely supported in the scientific literature. Apparently the crime of heresy in the US is not dead and you'd have to be a fool not to govern yourself accordingly.
Racist has become (like Fascist, as Orwell noted 60+ years ago) an all purpose word meaning "somebody I don't like" .

Lets not use meaningless words. Maybe instead you have some constructive suggestion to solve Detroit's fiscal situation (see note above)?
I can't solve the fiscal situation of the city of Detroit, but I think I can solve that city's crime problem. In the absence of welfare many of the residents of Detroit will not be able to pay their winter heating bills and many will be forced south to warmer climates.
Incidentally, Detroit may be a giant ruin but it does have a functioning water department, complete with its own website.
The Detroit Water Department even has another website documenting its new automated meter reading technology. According to the FAQ, anyone who doesn't cooperate and allow a digital radiometer to be installed will be charged $30 every time a city employee has to go out and read the old-style meter.
