All Israeli universities are full of far leftist liberal humanitarian teachers. Some of their works have became the basis of worldwide campaigns for Israel's delegitimation. About 400 of them (!) have signed a circular demanding foreign universities to boycott Israeli institutions in order to apply pressure on the country. The President of Ben-Gurion University is a rabid feminist - Prof. Rivka Carmi - who recently fired a professor who commented that children could be harmed by being raised by male couples, while consistently advancing teachers who call to boycott Israel.
This morning I heard a radio interview with a professor who is fighting these bastards. "I am for academic freedom and people should be, as it is, free to think or to say anything, even calling for boycotting their own university. But the least to expect from these highly ethical and morally correct teachers is that they themselves boycott these "immoral" institutions and refuse to be a part of them. Alternatively, they should accept with understanding their own sacking.

It's not just a lone professor who is opposing these people - he was speaking on behalf of the "Imm Tirtzu" organization.

I think you are right, I didnt register his name.
"accept with understanding their own sacking...."
Or maybe better just kill themselves? Ha, ha. Don't count on it. The thing to understand about liberal guilt/self-hatred is that the hatred extends to other people much like (but slightly different than) yourself but not actually to yourself. Thus you have guys like Gore who preach that OTHERS are consuming too much carbon but who themselves live in mega-mansions. Part of this is pure hypocrisy but the other part is due to "the hatred of small differences". If you look at the most bitter ethnic conflicts in the world (N. Ireland, Serbia/Croatia, etc.) you often find 2 peoples who are almost indistinguishable from each other by outsiders. All the negative traits that people see in themselves they project on the other slightly different group. TRUE self-hatred (whose logical conclusion is suicide as I said) is quite rare, since those who practice it are removed from the population. What is called self-hatred is really not.
The obvious liberal response to these calls is "no, we will stay and fight and remake our institutions in our own image so they are no longer hateful to us." What has happened in the US (and apparently in Israel too) is that there has been a "long march" of a liberal 5th column thru all of our institutions which have undermined them from the inside, so that "normal" values such as patriotism, family, etc. are seen as passe and (literally) perverted values are taken as the norm and glorified. Eventually this message gets thru to the gullible masses and the infection spreads thru the society.

It seems that the Soviet Union supported Israel initially but turned hostile in the sixties. The leftists got their marching orders from Moscow and now continue out of habit even though the USSR is gone. This is why I disagree with those who equate hostility toward Israel with anti-Semitism. It is not hostility toward Jews that drives the lefties, but communism and communism's subordination to Soviet foreign policy.
Western politicians from the Class of 1968 are a part of this and the whole of Western Civilization is in some danger as a result.
I don't find this credible. American leftists have not taken their marching orders from Moscow since the '50s. The whole idea of the New Left is that it was not an arm of the Comintern the way the Old Left was. There is nothing left of the Old Left - most of its adherents are in cemeteries or nursing homes.
