The Fast of Gedaliah
These are called the Terrible Days, because Jews (some of us) believe that our destiny is decided during this week till Yom Kippur.
Among the prayers of these days, the most popular is the one of the Aleppo Spanish (Sepharadi) community - אדון הסליחות
Lord of the Compassion, we sinned against you, please pardon us. Today is the Fast of Gedaliah, which commemorates the destruction of the First Temple.
