It is my considered opinion that Western journalists, cameramen and assorted propaganda artists deserve to die for inflaming an already painful situation with their distortions and lies. The strange thing is that Enderlin, the 'journalist' who brought out the al-Dura fabrication is himself a Jew, the very model of a Communist agitprop artist.
This sort of stuff is much more dangerous than it seems.
Once the MSM decide that this is now the overwhelming moral cause of the day, they will pick at it and manipulate it remorselessly. We saw this in South Africa, and it was the beginning of the end. All sorts of sanctimonious hypocrites and posturing idiots sign on for the crusade, including idealistic young naiifs and politicians on the make.
Even some of your own people will not resist the siren call, as you can see.
No doubt Western agitprop does us more damage than armed Arab terrorists. Look at the Marmara debacle - they made us look like monsters, which is what our enemies want to achieve. I thought we were good in this field, but we are losing badly.
One can hope that a solution will be found. But, as others have pointed out, Jewish sovereignty has not fared very well in the past, and who knows what will happen this time. (David's kingdom, and then the Hasmoneans both fell after relatively short periods of time - I don't remember offhand, but I believe the Hasmoneans lasted around 80 years, and the united kingdom was around for about 40ish years more than that).
LB, that's a pretty high standard. After all, haven't the great majority of polities from circa 0 long since disappeared? And peoples and language groups as well? There's no more Roman or Assyrian or Punic or Spartan or Athenian Empire, no Babylon. No more speakers of Cornish, Breton, Irish or Welsh Gaelic, and many more.
I think political arrangements are going to more stable in the age of nuclear arms, because war is a real bear. The US might break up, but only because we know Americans aren't going to nuke Americans under any circumstances. Personally I think Israel will overcome any hardship.
Just let me remind you that Americans killed Americans in the Civil War by the tens of thousands. People has no inborn inhibitions to kill other people, brothers or not.
