I have tried to fast without Dr Rasputin and failed. Now I am starting once more and alone a new week of fasting, hoping to succeed this time. The first two days are the most difficult, because I am addicted to food. Last week I had a glass of milk and felt a wave of pleasure and wellbeing - and I broke down. I am drinking strong coffee trying to overcome these difficult two days.

Have you tried fast-5? This is where you fast for 19 hours, including sleep, and only eat during a 5 hour window, and most people do this around dinner-time. I've been doing this for the past 3 weeks and have lost 7 pounds, easily, without discomfort. I also restrict carbs.
The reason fast-5 and low-carb get such great results, is that it finally gets you off the insulin/sugar cycle. Appetite and cravings go away.
There's a website (search on fast-5 or Thomas Herring) where you can download the e-book for free. You just have to register, but there's no spam or other b.s. Herring really isn't trying to sell anything.
Thank you for the comment. I have no self discipline so I fast 3 days with interruption for a drop of alcohol. I found that alcohol does not interrupt my fasting regime.
Let me add: Scientists have long known that mice - and primates - that eat fewer calories live longer. In fact, allowing an animal to eat as much food as it desires can reduce its life span by as much as one half.

How is your progress coming along. Those of us who read you everyday are rooting for you.
Thanks. I am fighting against my own nature. We are not made for this paradise where food grows on supermarket shelves.
