Roots

A pic on the wall of the Mossad head's office. It was taken by Nazi soldiers and shows his grandfather humiliated minutes before being killed.

Let us hope, for all your sakes, that he is focused on the future as well as the past.

If you are thinking of vengeance, that chapter was definitely closed with Eichmann. Now it is in the hands of God only. The pic's message is that the unthinkable could and did happen. It is an universal message for all humanity.

No, not vengeance; just his focus.

The message is clear - Dagan's job is to make sure that the next time the Jews will not be defenseless against their enemies. Anyone who undertakes to murder Jews should know that there will be a high price to pay and that Dagan and his men (and women) will be delivering the bill. This time, it was Mabhouh the Jew-killer who had to kneel and beg for a mercy that would not be forthcoming instead of vice versa. Not only is this only justice but the very fact that there is no impunity discourages all but the most insane from pursuing such a course in the first place. Killing Jews is apparently fun for some sick psychos like Mabhouh but when you know that the game will end with your own death then few people want to play.

You are correct except, I fear, when it comes to the people of the suicide bomb.

Suicide bombs are for suckers. Trust me that Mabhouh had no interest in ending his own life, only that of others.

Yes, of course, but that doesn't mean there isn't an endless supply of useful idiots who will do whatever they are instructed by people like him.
