Daughter Receives Technion Scholarship
At least something to be proud about. My daughter received a Dean's Scholarship in the University. Initially I refused to fill the thirty pages form and attach the infinite number of documents including bank statements and tax receipts demanded, thinking that she had not a chance in a million. You know, she is not Arab, Ethiopian, Sepharadi or some other favoured ethnic, her home in Kever Benjamin is not a "development town" (aka slum), no one of her family is disadvanted (no one in jail or the mad house), and her parents's finances are definitely not in her favour. But she persisted and won. Why did she was selected from two thousand assistance requests? I am not sure, may be because she is such an extraordinary a talent, or probably because "J&daughter" were among the few who filled correctly the form and did follow up work on the Dean's secretary.

Thanks.
It is a combination of all these things.
May she continue to bring you happiness.
