Allow me to say that Jews are confusing. While Israeli religious establishment is fighting among itself about who is more Orthodox, here in Kever Benjamin city the Reform community (we have one) is about to conquer a seat in the official Moatzah HaDatit (the Committee in charge of religion). Rabbi Gregory Kotler is the candidate. What proves that showing up is 90% of everything. Pic: Instead of black bearded Kotler, see pic of a goodlooking German rabbi.

J, are you trying to tempt us? A female person teaching religion unless she happens to look like Mother Theresa or well covered like the old Catholic nuns is a distraction.
Sinning in your mind does not count in Judaism. That's between you and you.
Sinning with an ordained rabbi is another thing altogether.
Maybe it's not a sin but the Jewish idea of separating the sexes during prayer makes a lot of sense - it's hard to incline your thoughts to the holy while at the same time thinking carnal thoughts. On the rare occasions when I attend schul I find myself distracted by the nearby females, especially since young women seem to have no idea what modest attire means anymore.

Surely she should be called a Rabbette?

There must be some long German word to describe her. In Hebrew there is a word for the wife of a rabbi but female rabbis are unknown. Then there is a problem with the (lack of) a beard.
She makes up for the lack of a beard with what looks like a good sense of humour.
