Egypt's strongman Hosni Mubarak has survived Friday, shown himself on TV with the message that he is not going anywhere. The Arab street mob phenomenon is notoriously coward and short-lived, so facing a determined dictator, protests are due to weaken and die down. America, as always, is in the wrong side: against the order and development provided by Mubarrak's tyranny.

I would not make such confident predictions just yet. You may have to eat your words. Maybe you're right, maybe not. Too soon to tell.

It is becoming clear that the Arab mob has no staying power and soon criminal vandals took over the streets. They are unable to organize themselves, to formulate a program and a plan of action. Not that the Government is much more capable but the Army may be able to take effective action. I am disillusioned with Hillary and Obama - they left Mubarrak alone, as Carter did with the Shah.
