Food Comrade Stalin Loved

We celebrated a family birthday in Ninotchka, a Tel Aviv restaurant on Lilienblum St. Georgian food, Georgian decoration: The Sun of the Peoples Stalin (Djugashvili) and various Georgian KGB figures watched us from the walls. Good.

Unrelated:Billy Adams.

Afrikaner farmers are now immigrating to Georgia, and encouraged by the Georgian government.

Anyone predicting this 30 years ago would have been offered medication.

When I was in Tianjin, we wandered into a restaurant on a back street that was done up as shrine to Mao, with pictures of him in various situations all over the walls. This was not intended to be kitsch or tongue in cheek but a sincere homage to the "great leader". The food was delicious , fresh and dirt cheap so we chose to overlook the politics.

Georgians truly loved Stalin and his Georgian henchmen. But the food was excellent. I asked pilaf because that's was the only thing on the menu that I knew. They also had caviar on cream. For some reason they didnt serve Georgian wine, which is very good. They are good people.

"Georgians truly loved Stalin and his Georgian henchmen."

Even Georgian Jews, after the purges and the Doctors' Plot fiasco?

Yes. Stalin did not hate Georgian Jews.
