New New Year Resolutions

1999: I will get my weight down below 180.
2000: I will not drink before 5 PM
2001: I will follow my new diet religiously until I get below 200.
2002: I will read daily from Dr Atkins's book and eat no carbs.
2003: I will not touch the bottle before noon.
2004: I will stop eating bread pasta and sugar.
2005: I will go the gym five times a week.
2006: I will work out three times a week.
2007: I will drink only on weekends and holidays.
2009: I will take my resolutions seriously.
2010: 2010 will be the year I moderate my eating, drinking and work out regularly.
2011: I will make a dead serious new year resolution.

Why don't you just resolve to gain weight and drink heavily? Then you'll be so resentful of your resolution that you'll find yourself disgusted by this behavior, slender and sober.
