Israel's 400 mile fence built for defensive reasons (a very effective one, it has stopped terror attacks in Israel) is causing weekly protests all over the world. No one is protesting the USA's 700 miles border fence separating it from Mexico. And no one is even aware of the 2,500 miles barbed wire fence India has built to keep famed Bangladeshis out. It is larger than the Chinese wall and is patrolled by trigger happy border guards. Thousands of Bangladeshis are being killed each year trying to cross it. Why are we being singled out and detested for building an "apartheid" wall to keep out people who teach their kindergarden children to blow up themselves just to hurt us?

There's no convincing evidence that the fence system is responsible for the decline in successful terrorist attacks: at the same time they started to build it, the military was finally unleashed to do its job. The main credit goes to the short term reoccupations of Palestinian urban centers and to the ongoing and highly successful policy of liquidating terrorist leaders. The fence system has played a minor role, though.
Genius,
I disagree. Immediately after the wall was erected between Kever Benjamin and Kalkiliya, life got much better on this side. Car stealings stopped, for example.
He says again, "Good fences make good neighbors".
