How to function under panic attack

Yesterday I suffered some kind of panic attack and could do no work all day. The wiki explains: Panic disorder has been found to run in families. Check. My father also used to have the condition. It occurs more frequently in people with above average intelligence. Check. Environmental factors such as cumulative stress over time have been found to be correlated with panic attacks. Check. I am under stress for postponing something for a very long time.

Late night called one of my earliest clients, he is building a pasta factory. Since I was not available, he hired another engineering office but something is wrong and he wanted me to come early morning to the site. I said yes, but now that it is morning I feel that it would be wrong to take over the batched project without seeing the drawings and before having some agreement.

Get drunk or read the Gulag Archipelago to put your problem in perspective. Some will call it escapism, but whatever gets you through the day should be alright.

A very Russian solution. Someone should write a joke about this..the Russian says "get drunk", the Japanese says, "kill yourself", the Arab says "shoot the infidels", etc. What would the Jew say in the punchline?

Magnesium supplementation may help panic attacks. Most people are deficient.

Thanks Dennis. I take vitamin supplements daily.

You should welcome them as brief moments of realism and lucidity.
