The Euro is under attack by speculators. Italian and Spanish bond yields rose to their new record highs. "This is a very alarming and scary thing. Europe is in a very dangerous situation."
I dont like it. We may all sink.

The Euro was a godless idea, it is right that it comes to an end. The core will in some form remain: Germany, France and the Benelux counties, the rest should go their own way. I suppose this is what the market is reflecting, in that it does not expect a collapse of the central core. It was good while it lasted, with scads of cash from the Germans to subsidise "growth" in the peripheral countries, now it is time to go home. Not the least of the evil of the EUSSR was the way it systematically sucked up the sovereignty of the European contries in return for a tidal wave of cash. As the Greeks might say : beware of Greeks bearing gifts.

Ivan
And beware of Greeks demanding gifts, also.
