I worked non-stop two days on my very urgent Ashkelon project, and yesterday evening I phoned happily that it is finished. The anwers were evasive: "We shall call you back". I am shocked and depressed. Have they called off the project and I will not be paid? Trying to calm down, drunk some wine but vomited it all. It looks bad. I suspect the Client may have operational problems with the continuous red alert situation. The local internet paper says Askelon has been hit by three rockets this night:

Most probably events have been called off, business is paralyzed and they are sleeping in the shelters. Maybe that there was red alert while I called. Bad.

I rather agree with you but persistence in the face of apparently overwhelming odds has been a characteristic of your people for millenia.
I enjoy visiting Israel partly because of the joie de vivre that emerges under these sort of circumstances, just like colonial Africa in the days when we confronted the world.
One factor you do not mention is the mounting anti-Semitism in Europe, as a result of mass immigration from parts of the Middle and Near East. Our suicide, and not good for Israel.
