Israeli press has become hysteric on a possible air/missile attack on Iran's atomic capabilities. They report debates in the Cabinet, large Air Force exercises in Sardinia and trials of ballistic missiles. It is like they are preparing the population for a war. But I can find almost anything on it in the foreign press. The stock exchange ignores all the noise. I cant hear the music. May be I dont want to.

Koko tells me the financial crisis might provide an opportunity to pay a surprise visit on friends in Teheran.
Corzine think's it's all a storm in a teacup.

The bloodless visitation on Ghaddafi has shown the way for NATO. I remember Bush's Secretary of Defense Cherney's reason to occupy Iraq. He said that the world oil resources were being monopolized by State owned companies, leaving little space for private oil companies. Iraq was consequently liberated and made available for them. Iran's oil is in the hands of a State monopoly that does not allow private enterprise. It is so unjust...!
I don't recall Cheney ever saying anything even remotely close to this. Sources please.
You are right that there is not a word of this in the foreign press.

Source on Cheney: My memory.
Today the Army's Radio said that the Iran operation already has been decided and it is under way, and that is the reason that any debate is sabotage.
I don't believe Cheney ever said anything of the sort....leftists were crying from the beginning of the Iraq war that it's all about the oyyyyl (rhymes with Joooos) and Cheney would have never given them this hook.
That the operation has begun is more disinformation, perhaps designed to push the Iranians into some unwise move - to attempt to relocate the material (which might then give a clue as to its location) or perhaps to push them into a 1st strike which would give Israel license to retaliate. Or else it is just a stick to beat political opponents with - to label them as dangerous to Israel's security.

It was prominently reported in the Guardian and I think it was prioritized on Google news as well yesterday.
I doubt it will really happen, though.
It will enhance Obama's re-election chances, so it is in fact quite likely to happen.
Quite apart form any other reasons.

If Obama does it, he'll deserve a second Peace Nobel Prize. He could send the ballistic missile codenamed "Peacemaker". No kidding.
It will happen, because it will provide a smokescreen for their real purpose, which is to bomb Athens on the return trip.

Greeks may be late paying their debt but they are not that bad.
"..late paying their debt..."
Oh, I see. The cheque's in the mail!
Mea culpa.
