Yonah, a Jewish Prophet

Yonah the Prophet lived contentedly in New Jersey, when God called him.

Yonah, I have a job for you!

Oh, not again! said Yonah.

Yonah, the people of New York are sinning and doing evil!

Not my business! Go off!

Yonah, I'm angry and going to destroy them! Tell them to repent!

Find another prophet! I'm off to a cruise in the Caribbean.

The ship's crew, fearing God's vengeance, throw Yonah overboard. Next, he finds himself in Manhattan.

Yonah: People, God is angry with what you are doing. REPENT!

The people: We repent!

Yonah to God: Now what? Punish them as you said!

God: After they repented? No way.
