The media narrative being sold is quite clear, Trayvon Martin is the innocent victim here and George Zimmerman is a horrible bigot who attacked the young man for doing nothing more than buying skittles while being black. Even Barack Obama seems to accept the fresh-faced innocence of Trayvon, stating, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.”
It’s becoming more and more clear however that the innocent appearance the mainstream media is so desperate to apply to Trayvon isn’t at all accurate. The picture we’re used to seeing to represent Trayvon Martin appears to be a far cry from how he actually looked once he was a few years older."
If the above (and the other data provided by the blog) is true, then we are facing a Goebbels-like propaganda or disinformation campaign. For some reason, the media has decided to avoid telling the truth and instead presents a sterotypical story of White vigilantism, fresh out of the KKK kitchen. I am coming around to the idea that this is systematic and directed to fire up Black and liberal activism, showing that racism has not disappeared but it is an actual danger. The media in the US and all over the world is searching desperately this type of incidents, and when they are not happening, they invent them. Just like against Israel. There are 1500 foreign journalists (!) patrolling the West Bank area trying to shot a good picture of a "Jewish settler" beating or attacking a Palestinian native. Since they are no such things, they photoshop or set up fake incidents. After they are published worldwide, all the explanations of what REALLY happened are irrelevant.

Exactly. The narrative is more important than the truth. If the truth appears to fit the narrative, that is glorious and you put the story on the front page every day. White lacrosse players gang rape black "college student". White racist murders innocent black child. If it does not fit the narrative, either it is ignored or a Greater Truth is invented.
We saw this is Toulouse - when the shooter was (in the press's imagination) a Neo-Nazi then it was an indictment of everyone on the right (not just the far right but even the center right) for fostering a climate of intolerance and it was going to change the election results - repelled by the disgusting behavior of the hate filled right, people would vote for a decent love filled leftist. When it turned out to be the usual Mohammed, then suddenly he was a lone wolf, acting on his own and in NO way representative of the beautiful, peaceful religion that is Islam. As a lone wolf, his acts have no implications for immigration policy or the elections. Etc.
I think the difference today is that the internet makes such spin much harder. If you look at the comments that go with most such stories, it is clear that the public is no longer buying the bullshit at face value. Like Greek bonds, the market discounts the narrative.

In NYC, non-Hispanic whites are responsible for something like 2% of all shootings, even though they are over 1/3 of the population. The number of those which involve whites shooting blacks is so small as to be statistically zero. Likewise, whites raping blacks is an unheard of crime - again a statistical zero. Meanwhile, literally every day here in Philadelphia, at least one young black male is killed by another black male over some trivial drug related dispute or whatever. Every single day on average. And the same in every big city in America. Such murders are so commonplace that they are not even reported in the newspapers . Yet two of the most celebrated cases of recent years involved a (non-existent) rape of a black "college student" (actually hooker/drug addict) by whites and the "murder" of a black youth (6'2" tattooed drug dealer) by a "white". Hmm, makes you wonder.
"Zimmerman" (the shooter) was Hispanic. Had he been shot by a (truly) white "racist" policeman he would have been known as "Garcia Zimmerman" or maybe even just Garcia and be considered "brown". But for theatrical purposes of the narrative, he was "white" enough for this circus.

There is an innocent explanation - Trayvon worked on the side as an automobile mechanic, using the screwdriver. He used his savings from work to buy his beloved mother (whom he loved so much that he had her name tattooed on his arm) jewelry, including several wedding bands. He was attacked for no reason on his way back from the candy store by the violent white racist cracker Zimmerman and was defending himself when Zimmerman shot him. Etc.
