European Union's Draghi is trying to pump up Europe's economy applying the Bernanke formula of monetary easing aka printing money. The Bundesbank, out of sheer economic orthodoxy, is actively hampering the success of the policy. May I quote the Vulgata?
Omne regnum in seipsum divisum desolabitur, et domus supra domum cadet. " which I translate as "The Euro is surely doomed." God is American.

"Every kingdom divided against itself shall be brought to desolation; and house upon house shall fall".
(Translated by Koko, for those whose Latin is a little rusty).

domus supra domum is literally house upon house, Koko is right, but it is translated as "a housed divided". Non curo.
Well logically there might be only 2 explanations.
German leadership is either extremely dumb or is actively trying to destroy the EU - maybe as a russian pawn.
Normally i'd think the second option is true. But their past actions point directly towards pure imbecility.
after the military caste managed to drive the country into a ditch now it is time for the commercial caste to show the former leadership what real imbecility is.
At least after the military caste crushed the country a usable piece of it remained with enough inhabitants.
if my assumption is correct not much of Germany will remain after the commercial caste manages to crush the country.
Teh ability of german social/political leadership to detach from reality is mind boggling. I even started to learn german in order to drew a conclusion.
interesting that the analysis school is quite OK. But they somehow always manage to drew strange conclusion and to behave in ways completely unimaginable for the rest of us.
Of course results are so bad that inaction would have been much better. Just drink a beer and go fishing. But they just can't do that.
It reminds me of a russian joke
:
"Scene One: A tree. An apple. An ape comes and starts to shake the tree. A voice from above: "Think, think!" The ape thinks, grabs a stick, and hits the apple off. / Scene Two: A tree. An apple. A praporschik comes and starts to shake the tree. A voice from above: "Think, think!" / "No time to think, gotta shake!"."
The three bears return home. "Someone ate my porridge!" cries Father Bear. "Someone sat in my chair!" cries Mother Bear. "Someone is sleeping in my bed!" cries Little Bear. "Someone sent me the wrong address for the safe house!" says Stierlitz.
You sure know this one.
Americans had their own civil war - Lincoln famously quoted this passage. It was the most bloody war in all of American history and I do not wish it on anyone.

By the way, this is an indication of how primitive ancient Judea must have been. Rome at the time was full of multi-story insula (apartment houses) up to 70 feet high , which were indeed domus supra domun but the Judean villages of the time must have been mud brick and one story high.

I wouldn't use the Vulgata (a pig Latin translation of the original broken Greek spoken by Galilean fishermen and slaves) as an architectural guide of Judea.
Nowadays there are fascinating, scientifically commented versions of the New Testament. And the Old Testament too. BTW, it appears that Solomon's temple never existed.
It's hard to believe that the translation was that mangled. To later translators, the original made no sense since it is indeed possible to stack houses upon each other, but in a place where the structures were mud-brick with dirt floors it would have been meaningful. The later translations (in English at least) talk about "a house divided against itself" in recognition that the literal original makes no sense (in a more modern context).
