Turkey warned Greece (after warning Israel) not to drill for gas and oil near Cyprus, since it considers the area belonging to its territorial waters. Now we have another conflict in the area. Turkey is bitter by Europe's rejection and very aggressive. Greece is being squeezed by Europe and desperate. The EU is in a dead end for the last two years, with increasingly frequent panic attacks and runs on the banks. A good war solves everything.

Saw a program about the Iranian economy on BBC. Until recently, they were evading sanctions via Abu Dhabi. Now they have switched to Turkey. They showed the offices of Iranian companies in Turkey. Swiss companies were helpfully sending faxes offering to trade. God bless the Swiss.
