Hungary's resentment for finding itself war after war in the side of the losers is boiling over. The Vicepresident Kover is touring Romania promoting Hungarian minority nationalism and the dismemberment of that country. Fascist criminals are being rehabilitated and monuments are erected to their memory. Antisemitism is once more in fashion. Hungarians are Fascists, that is they resent and hate all their neighbors.
Certain nations are fated to be second rate. They are the Salieri of nations, the kings of mediocrity. J has lived in a couple (Hungary, Argentina). Nothing is ever their fault. Whenever these nations even approach first rate status, they do something to undermine themselves - they start a war that they are bound to lose or expel the Jews or devalue their currency. Freud would say that this is intentional on an unconscious level.
I note that the Horthy statue is made of wood, like the Admiral himself (the Admiral who had no navy). A little bottle of gasoline and some matches should take care of him. If Israel is able to reach out and touch Iranian scientists on the streets of Teheran, surely they have time for a little Hungarian barbecue.

A biblical myth, K. Yahweh and his Asherah were having the time of their immortalities long after Abraham is supposed to have existed:
