The gap in wealth between classes and nations is growing, power is being increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few hegemonic nations and within them, in the hands of minuscule elite groups, the population is under permanent observation and each of us has a personal file in a secret supercomputer where nothing is ever erased. We are made believe this is an imperfect meritocracy, yet a capable proletarian has zero chances to ascend to the elite through education or personal effort. These are social conditions well described in classical Marxian literature, yet I cannot find any intelligent analyis or debate - theoretical or practical - on what is happening NOW. There is no revolutionary theory and there is no revolutionary party in sight. There is no theoretical framework that explains or criticizes society, and classical Marxist analysis (pic. Antonio Gramsci) is obsolete.
