  1. FYI, a commenter on Sailer's post here suggests that Germany deserves most of the credit for your country's economic success because of the reparations it gave Israel.

  2. With an additional six million European Jews alive we would have been even more prosperous. We need Jews, money we can make easily.

The higher the IQ, the lower the fecundity.

    Everyone is struggling with this.

I don't think that more Jews will make Israel more prosperous. Israel benefits from having a sympathetic trade network of Jews throughout the world. If the whole developed world becomes hostile to both Jews and Israel, who will facilitate the purchase of Israeli goods in those countries? Not to mention the undesirability of having all eggs in one basket in case a credible threat to Israel's existence develops. You shouldn't let yourself be brainwashed by Zionist theory, J.

  7. Nonsense. Most of our export goes to countries that have no Jewish trade networks nor Jews. China, Japan, Singapur, India, you name it. You may have read too much about the power of the American Jewish community and believe that we depend on them. In fact, the massive Biblical Belt is the main force behind Israel. Diaspora Jewish communities are very vulnerable and fragile, always suspect and always barely tolerated.

  8. The reality is that Israel calibrates it foreign policy in such ways as to avoid harming the large American diaspora. We are aware that anything we do will reflect on American Jewry and we are very attentive to their interests. American Jews are necessarily liberal and democratic, while we in Israel are trying to build an ethnic State that cannot be universalist, cosmopolitan or Catholic (in its literal sense).

That massive Biblical Belt is very white haired. Most of them are near 70 or over. Exciting times are ahead.

  10. Latino evangelicals are no less pro-Israel than the old Anglos. And they are young.

Anyway, no one knows the coming foreign policy a very fast changing America. What was in the past will not be.

That's not really American Jew's problem. The real problem is that there just aren't that many of them (and politicians need voters in large numbers) and the generation of American Jews that cared deeply about Israel (enough to back pro-Israel politician with their $) is dying out.
